• When a non-EU vendor wants to be “GDPR compliant” to satisfy its clients’ requirements, what does this entail?
• One should distinguish the situation where the Vendor is subject to GDPR by law (under the GDPR’s territorial scope) and where the Vendor is subject to GDPR as a result of the contractual arrangements with the client
• What are the requirements when it is (only) a contractual obligation?  Example of the EU standard contractual clauses (SCC)
